It is one of the prettiest places in the USA and I love being outside here only rainforest in the US. For the most part, people are nice enough, not southern hospitality nice but nice enough and there is good food!

The amount of Nazis in this state is alarming however, I thought TX had its issues but they straight up are open about it here. I found out Oregon was founded as a whites-only state so its not surprising that they are near the border close to Portland and the WA capital.

No you cannot, the house has a working furnace and your room is not an efficiency or studio apartment it is a shared dwelling. Get a space heater. WA does not require that every room in a shared home have its own thermostat and heater/ac that's unreasonable. What you do is get everyone to agree to a higher temp for the house and use fans as they are intended or use a space heater in your room. Either way, you will use more electricity.

Because food poisoning kills and veggies carry risks as well. We at least pretend with health inspectors to make sure places are safe but there would be no way to inspect someone's home to see if it is safe. The short story is that shitty people trying to make a quick buck ruined it for everyone. You can how ever operate out of a co-op commercial kitchen, even food trucks depending on the type have to rent a kitchen somewhere to make certain foods they sell and keep warm in the truck.

for profit prisons should be illegal. If we could close those then we could make laws and punishments that help society instead of providing capitalists with slave labor. The 14th amendment did not get rid of slavery, it made it legal if you are a prisoner. After the 14th amendment Pinkerton forces were formed to catch black people and immigrants breaking "town laws, codes, statues" in order to imprison them for free labor. This expanded into Police forces. Sheriffs are supposed to be here, cops not so much. Cops are the slave catchers for Americas continual use of slave labor so UNICOR can make half a billion in sales every year. Prisoners produce 11 billion worth of goods every year
