thanks its interesting i am in Arlington now, and doing the research , Arlington average age is 25 to 30....I am late 30s and given the massive construction in Arlington and cost of living. I might be reasy to move back to some parts of DC where it doesnt feel like i am living with all college kids:) dupont, woodley, cleveland park still seem like ther are some older singles

same, buy fresh stuff every few days, safeway prices are best because of the online just for you coupons, go to whole foods once in a while for good beef or fish

Giant is so so overpriced, i love safeways online coupon system, just for U tracks exactly what you buy and clip coupons on the app, i save like 4 or 5 bucks each visit. i shop every 3 days for what i need , i dont like buyig too much at once, because i overbuy and tend to stock stuff i dont eat

like food, but not 80s or 90s style in my opinion, got to have that 80s/90s vibe, ie i need some fried wonton strips with duck sauce on the table:)

try to fly to DCA
if you fly to dulles, that is so much closer to martinsburg so if possible maybe if you fly to dulles rent a car to martisnburg
dca is only 15min or so from union station,
dulles is like an hour to union station in the oppositive direction

Reply to Does this subreddit represent the true sentiment DC residents have for their city? by 42beastmode
this is true. Overall, people are not happy in dc, its a city full of stress and angst. I am from NJ everybody takls to each other ,greets people in stores, people are not as fearful....Here there is alot of fear and stress, and it across all class levels, poor , rich, students...People are stressed out...the city is like a weight on the soul

I lived in austin tx and florida, but never felt like this there. I love austin because people are like smiling all the time, NJ too. maybe not smiling but they care about each other, in DC people just dont get involved, they are detached and introspective, and really dont care about each other

tht being said. i am still here because the quality of life and things to do, and gree space. I have had to put effort into my social life, i have a good group of friends who i met at church and sports groups so indivudals tend to be good people but the culture is stressful and unhappy not good for creative types
