The Reality Bites soundtrack that featured Loeb on “Stay” and the American release of McLachlan’s Fumbling Toward Ecstasy were in 1994. Both artists took off afterward.
This pic is most probably from one of the Lilith Fair concerts, which ran from 1997 through 1999.

Yep, absolutely correct.

Contrary view. I have two Grip6 belts and they just do not hold their position. No obvious wear. No user error. But I am constantly retightening them. They hold for a little bit, but then they inevitably start slipping. Tried everything to keep them secure, but they just lose grip. Not a fan.

The entire A side of Rush’s 2112.
Tells the story of an oppressive society that outlaws musical expression, but the leaders are overthrown at the end by the enlightened ex-patriates of the planet who return to assume control.

The article should have made this more clear. To state that people speak Sanskrit today makes everything else odd.

If there are 25,000 contemporary speakers, why would they not be able to make sense of the underlying algorithm? Are modern Sanskrit and ancient Sanskrit that much different?

The point of a society is that the old have even more purpose, as they are now experienced enough to mentor the young and pass along the wisdom they have acquired.

A very meh experience. Just another belt type that looks good on paper but disappoints in real life.

I do it exactly as shown in the video here. Even have the same buckle style.
Cinch it to a decent fit, and it appears to be fairly well locked in place, but over time, it may slip as much as two inches, which is enough to render it useless, especially when I’m readjusting it every half hour or so.
I got the Grip6 because I was so sick of belts delaminating, tearing, slipping, and just falling apart within a year. The Grip6 never fell apart, but it’s an underperformer too.
The only men’s belt older than a year that I still wear regularly is my Main Street Forge Heavy Duty, which will likely outlive me.

Not a belt I recommend. It always gradually loosens on me, and I am constantly retightening it. Finally gave up wearing it. Had two different straps.
