Well considering you made two points and I’m addressing one directly, I think I’m good. You present two dramatic points without a shred of evidence then ask other people to refute that in a concise and verbose manner and when one does, you say no no not that—my real point. Have a good one, bud.

Funny you should say that considering NAFTA and other FTAs have all been horrible for the environment. They give corporations an escape hatch for environmental regulations and fairly shortsighted processes for striking down environmentally-minded rules and regs, sinking us all to the lowest common denominator with little ability to raise and enforce them again.

“all economists believe free trade is good” is so ridiculous on its face, I figured you must have mistyped. you know that economists exist across an entire spectrum of opinions on this right?

No, all economists don’t agree on those things.

Not that I’m arguing for or against rent control, but this is already happening without it

Did you know the paraprofessionals in Woburn make $22k? Like, per year? One of the lowest rates in the country. Fucking Ohio pays them nearly 30% more and they still have shit pay there. How is this supposed to be corrected?

Yeah at the time I was high anxiety but not too bad. Looked over my shoulder a bit more but nothing too bad then one day I just couldn’t stop thinking about it or about bad things happening. But yeah, I think I finally have reached some peace about it after a good bit of work. Wishing you the best as well.

Apologies if this is too presumptive of me but please be sure you get some professional help processing this. I’ve never quite got over being shot at and I hate seeing anybody thinking they are fine like I thought then one day a year later just hitting a brick wall of walking catatonia. I was a complete space case, dissociating constantly and probably avoidable if I got somebody to help pick through it with me. Be well, friend.

Speak to a lawyer about this rather than making assumptions (if you haven’t already). Agreements are only enforceable if a judge agrees. Family courts are (supposed to be) about the safety and best interests of the child.

I’m all for getting cars off the street but drivers really shouldn’t have to put up with incorrect, arbitrary municipal punishment like getting towed when you were in the clear (even if this particular case may or may not be that).

The Republicans of that era in no way shape or form resembled the party of Lincoln. By the time of the New Deal, the parties had already fully switched platforms as well as members.

Security is about controlling risks in your threat model. There is nothing particularly complex about what they’re doing that isn’t already being done. It simply requires more effort and will be costly to retrofit them properly if they need any hardware changes on the device side. The fact that they can’t open up access to other authorized parties actually shows how poor of a job they’ve done and susceptible to compromise they are. The AG’s complaint actually details multiple AuthN/AuthZ models that the EFF helped them describe in their amicus brief! They’re simply putting up a fight because it’ll be expensive.

Yeah, if you prop up your argument with absolutely nothing but a faulty, unsubstantiated premise, it’s going to be treated as it is: an opinion being stated as fact. Funny that.
