Eh. I doubt that using this specific tone profits FOX half a million more than any other tone.

Satire is a mirror. With nothing to reflect on, it's just a shiny wall.

I get the vibe they are going to explore that next season. Season 1 was all about what we do to ourselves in any job, not just the bad ones. We compartmentalize. We drink the Kool-Aid. We find the good.
Season 1 was the honeymoon. Season 2 will be everything that comes after.

It's not what TV shows you like, but your experience. Severance is a satire before it's a mystery box, and to understand the satire, you must have lived it.
Have you ever worked for a company with a specific person in charge of "morale"?

Theory time: the first four episodes were originally written as three, but stretched out in order to end the 4-episode critic screeners on a cliffhanger.

This is why Calculus/DiffEq should be taught in high school. Related rate problems describe the universe. You can't just look at totals, but rates of change.

I swear Apple's goal is not to make money directly from AppleTV+. I wish I could fathom what it actually is.

Reply to comment by slicerprime in Which is worse? A show that is "worth the wait" because it finally becomes good after wasting your time for half the series? Or a show that just plain sucks all the way through and can be dumped early without missing anything? by slicerprime
A good example of the latter is the Reboot cartoon. It was an ambitious show, hampered by overzealous censorship. About halfway through season 2, it finally finds its footing, and becomes excellent.
Fortunately, the early episodes aren't critical, and you can skip to the good stuff.

Point, though is r/television really the demographic who cares about sports?
