This. I've lived in Trinidad close to where you're talking for 7 years with no issues past package theft. I'd stay off Bladensburg if you can, though.

You can see one of the last remnants of the K Street area of that Era at 1806 I Street NW.

My hometown has 700 people in it. People are constantly complaining about cars speeding down streets and blowing stop signs. Suffice to say, the governance is very different than DC.
