Dave’s always has some in their coolers. You need to check multiple.

Also. I personally buy 4-5 every year and keep multiple in my chest freezer. They literally will keep for decades

Driving your street legal bike at night with the lights off. Or if they aren’t working at all. Is the same effect. Same thing can happen with a car. THAT is the reckless part.

Off road vehicles have headlights too. They don’t have turn signals. But that’s not the issue.

RECKLESSNESS is the root cause here.

Let’s be clear. The issue isn’t “dirt bikes”. Because this very thing can happen with street legal bikes and conversely riding an off road vehicle smartly on roads doesn’t result in this either. In The Caribbean off road and on road vehicles share the roads all the time without incident.

The issue is being reckless and riding like it’s play time.

It’s RI. Where are lobsters NOT cheap?

Even good fish mongers or grocery stores max you’ll pay is $15 a lb. Most have them at $10-$12 generally. Watch for sales at $6-$9 a lb.

Galilee docks you’ll find boats selling straight from catch. Those will be cheaper but really only about the best sale price grocers will have.

High end ($$$$): Gracie’s, the coastguard house, mills tavern.

Middle ($$$): Persimmon, The East End, Siena, Los Andes, CAV

Low end ($$): cook & dagger, Bristol oyster bar or Providence Oyster Bar, the District, Durks

There is a range in dining style here. Durks, The a district, the oyster bars are fairly casual. Gracie’s is very posh. The rest are middle of the road when it comes to dress and comportment.

All are good places to eat though.

That’s my wife and I’d date night special. When the kids have all gone out and we are home alone. We grab 4 lobsters (or sometimes two and I grill a steak) roast up a bag of crispy shoe string French fries. And nab a bottle of wine to share.

I have a large summer time platter that I put the fries and lobsters all on. We sit down in the living room together. Put on a move and chow down in comfy pants and without feeling like pigs as we tear apart lobsters.

It’s a great stay-in date night.

At home. Most fish mongers or grocery like Dave’s will steam them in store.

Cheaper. Easy as pie. Eat at home.

They have some old stand bus that just aren’t so hot anymore for a variety of reasons.

For my wife and I. Gracie’s is still always our fave. But we limit how often we go because of the cost.

Persimmon is really good.

Mills tavern was always a fave but there have been service issues the last few times.

New rivers is excellent.

We are super biased to the Providence Oyster Bar. Our two favorite bartenders work there. As does our oldest son. So it’s sort of our go to. But I suppose it’s not “fine dining” to most folks.

Circe is excellent.

I’d add Nicks on Broadway to this list and dump Capriccio. It was amazing back in the day. Less so now. And it’s in a basement. A basement.
