Everyone slows down and you kind of take turns. Delivery trucks on a 2 lane road creates one way traffic around them. Be prepared to stop, but if your line is going, then go. Cars should not be expected to blindly follow a UPS truck and stop every 10 feet. You go around when you see a gap, and those approaching should slow and be aware that some cars might be taking their opportunity to overtake the delivery truck.

Like, work together. Stop classifying drivers as asshats for no reason! Do you expect a line of 20 cars to stay behind a mail truck forever?!?

That’s not how stereotypes work. Just because you experienced something doesn’t mean it’s always like that or is the norm.

“I saw a black person commit a crime” turns into “black people are criminals” using your logic. You are stereotyping, and stereotypes should be called out. If you want to share experiences, then share them. But don’t label massive amounts of people while doing it.

Compared to CA - Places aren’t connected by freeways / 4 lane or 6 lane state roads. Sure, to get across the state or between cities, you use the highway system. But largely, travel tends to be on 2 lane town/city roads that, as my cousin from NC once told me, feel like “tree tunnels”.

Defensive driving. Assume everyone is an idiot. Once they are doing rational things, dance the dance with them.

I travel +5 to +10 over, I don’t think defensive driving slows me down or puts others in danger.

For instance, I’m not the guy sitting there waiting at a stop sign for the car approaching to make sure they stop. I’ll roll it. But, if I see you doing something funny… go right ahead. You can go have your accident somewhere else.
