They were just going to auction, not closing. But the auction got called off, then a deal fell through and they are going back to auction soon.

Is the wind current strong enough in the harbor? Isn't one of the reasons they put them so far off shore is because it's the open seas and usually more wind than in a sheltered cove like the harbor?

I'm not arguing you with that. Just that horse racing is still a major economic contribution to our states economy

I get it's an industry reported figure and they have reason to inflate things (using numbers reported to the government), but we are also comparing it to that one Redditor's opinion.
It's not an exact comparison, but until we get actual reported numbers and facts from a neutral source like a state agency, what else are we supposed to go off of?

https://www.bizjournals.com/baltimore/news/2018/05/14/report-orse-racing-adds-500m-to-marylands-economy.html $500 Mil just for racing, and $1.3 Bil. Plus 5 years of inflation, sounds like it isnt dead.

You asked for the source, I gave it to you, then you started asking me questions about it, which I dont know.

Books dont provide links for sources either even after they cite their sources, are they not valid then?
But fine here you go, heres the data: https://reportcard.msde.maryland.gov/DataDownloads/FileDownload/458

I hate Fox too, but they literally say in the article where they got their data from > The Maryland State Department of Education recently released the 2022 state test results known as MCAP, Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program.
Hell its even in the photo they have in the article
