They’re all over Swampscott. I give kudos to the towns attitude towards them. They’re mostly tolerated (though one horrible woman did in fact run one over on purpose). It’s nice to see the community embrace the “co-exist with wildlife” approach and not the “it’s an inconvenience let’s kill it” strategy

We don’t have a Kevin but one did attack my brothers car lol

I was at a 7/11 a few months back and this tweeker was on the phone talking quite loudly about his dick. We made eye contact and he came up to me and made a jerking off motion with his hand and started laughing. I was already having a day so I lost my temper. I could of handled it better but I think I was entitled to enforce my boundaries. Not to mention there was a mother and a kid in line behind us.

He proceeds to get defensive and argue that “iM jUsT jOkiNG i sHoUlD fUcK yOU uP”. Nothing ended up happening because I wanted to keep my dignity/be a civil adult.

Mass. Residents love to tout how progressive we are but no one ever talks about the justice system.

I grew up in a small town on the Northshore. There is some serious wealth here in certain neighborhoods. I know of two incidents where the police absolutely beat the sh*t out of someone. In one incident they charged the individual with assault on an officer afterwards to cover their tracks. Never made the news or entered public discussion. Unfortunately incidents happen like this everyday in our larger communities. The assault victims are usually of color and low income. They do not have the resources to retaliate against the blue.

The only public outrage is when Mass. State Troopers were dumb enough to try and cheat the state out of tax dollars. Then accountability matters.

Middle class and upper middle class, sure. They are definitely working class compared to the executives and shareholders at Exxon, Shell, etc.

This narrative that “liberal coastal elites” are where the wealth is concentrated is completely false. Both mainstream parties are deep into corporate lobbyists; but this idea the Republican Party is representing this downtrodden and oppressed group of white, working class voters and not the interests of wealthy business owners is a fantasy. Most of these Republicans went to the Ivy League institutions they are bashing.

Tax on the poor, not the stupid. The lottery aggressively targets lower income neighborhoods which more than likely don’t have access to great educational resources.

It relies on dopamine and desperation not lack of intelligence. If you think you can outsmart either of those you’re not off to a great start.
