1st episode is probably the worst one IMO but I give it a pass because it needs to set everything up. I wouldn't say it's the only episode that does that cat-and-mouse game of the culprit knowing about Charlie's ability and maneuvering around it. The guy in the racing episode did it arguably more so

Exit Stage Death is arguably the funniest episode of the show so far with Charlie's head in the fridge talking to them while they're on stage and becoming the Ghost of Pensacola. The other episodes have had hilarious bits too like the horse head

Larry made fun of him on Curb and he played himself so you have to assume he's a good sport and self-aware lol

I rewatched it the other day to see if I would digest it better as an adult since the first time I saw it was when I was a preteen-teen; I still don't think it gets anywhere near the top of my Coenn brothers filmography list.
I respect the concept but in execution think it barely holds up as something justified for its own feature length film. Despite Pitt and Malkovich's performances being gold, the whole film just doesn't wrap up all its components nicely enough. The ending bit is funny and in tune with the spy tone but I kinda also wanted to see more of the fallout of the chaos play out (George Clooney's character freaking out was entertaining so would've been nice to see some of him trying to flee the country, and then they just totally neglected the reactions of his wife and Tilda Swinton's character to the whole debacle) instead of just getting a jump cut to the end.

Tarantino rightfully choose not to encroach on that topic for the film, and it being Django's superhero origin story works extra perfectly because you can imagine for yourself the adventures he went on thereafter including an abolitionist motive if you so wish

Yeah, I just meant is there something transformative that happened in S5 specifically I'm forgetting or did another show come out whose character overtook her place?

It's a popular opinion that it's boring at the start. A lot turn over once its initial storyline culminates in S3, some still don't like it and then only enjoy it once it gets into back into the gangster activity of BrBa in S4-6. At its crux are the characters though, so if you actively dislike them, then it might just not be for you. It really is one of the best shows ever though

Possibly the best show ever to exceed my expectations in terms of enjoyment, definitely in recent times. The writing may not be up to immaculate snuff every week with the intricacies of the mysteries but it's got so many other things going for it, can watch for Natasha's character alone
