She is celebrated at the Millyard Museum in Manchester, New Hampshire. There is a display of her first patent, safety device for the loom.

They have "make art with our artist in residence" activities at the Currier museum of art. The SEE Science center will be too young for your 12 year old, but your 7 year old may enjoy it. Your 12 year old might enjoy the giant Lego millyard there though. The Millyard Museum is about the history of Manchester. I recommend it to anyone new to the city because it gives a good understanding of where we came from and how we got here...and the significance of the Millyard.
fisher cats baseball games will be starting up soon.

Try disc golf with the kids at the courses near Pine Grove cemetery in the southern part of the city. Visit breakin chains off south willow street for instructions and discs.

I personally love Momo, but it sounds like others have had mixed experiences there. I've also heard good things about this place, but haven't been there. If you go, let us know what you think: https://annapurnahouse.com
Also, El Rincon just opened a place down the street at 931 Elm called Alas de Frida that I believe is suppose to be elevated El Rincon.

Seasonally in the summer and it's always small batch and some unusual combo flavors. It's such a treat! It's amazing.

The State of New Mexico also got $25M, but I don't see any other cities getting $25M in 2021.

She’s a good Mayor. She had some stumbles in her first term, it took her a bit to get up to speed. The foundation she’s built during her time will mean solid growth and stability for the city for years. It wasn’t fancy or showy business for the cameras, but it was the work that needed to be done for a city of our size and potential.

Pine Grove Cemetery. I know it’s a cemetery, but it’s big, has paved/plowed roads, and a natural esthetic with big trees and a pond bordered mostly by woods.
However, the other suggestions already made would be my first choices.

Manchester Craft Market in the Mall of NH, Manchester. Local crafters, but a ton of NH specific goods - hats, tshirts, bumpers stickahs, ornaments, etc. It's near Dick's Sporting Goods.

McIntyre ski Hill in Manchester for tubing/skiing in the morning. Lunch at the Puritan Backroom. SEE Science Center for afternoon fun. They have a bunch of fun stuff, but they also just have a big Lego table if you need quieter play. Before you leave town, head to Dancing Lion for some Mayan Drinking Chocolate or The Bookery, both on Elm St.

First, I just want to say that I would never tell you Hooked/Ignite were the best lunch spot. Eek.
Are you looking for something quality and quick or sit down and spend time with a friend? Spicy and/or ethnic or meat and potatoes? Context matters with a recommendation.

NH Department of Health and Human Services has a great site on tickborne diseases.
It includes UNH (University of New Hampshire) Cooperative Extension tools and the Connecticut tick management handbook, healthcare provider info, and lots more.

Just a reminder that Manchester has a high number (for NH) of folks without cars and we have next to zero bus service. People that live in Manchester without a car are stuck. We do need train service to connect our residents to the rest of NH and New England.

The self guides are helpful to answer questions as well. https://nhlegalaid.org/self-help-guides/housing/evictions
Edit: One of the biggest area of concerns right now is landlords using a renovation eviction as a legal way to remove long time tenants. There’s really no recourse for a tenant. https://read.nhbr.com/nh-business-review/2022/03/25/#?article=3951313

Fun fact: the same mill complex where she became an inventor at age 12, now houses the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) organization. FIRST runs FIRST LEGO League and Robotics competitions, run by prolific inventor Dean Kamen, to encourage kids to build robots, become inventors and try to solve the world's problems. It's a cool program.
