Wow, just moved a bunch of money in to one last week when it was at 4.75%. For once it seems like I actually (unintentionally) timed something right, lol.
I wonder if they lowered the rate because they were getting a large influx of deposits? (pure speculation)

I’m a PNC customer, in Pittsburgh (what the “P” stands for in PNC), and the 4% rate wasn’t available to me.
Fine by me PNC, I’ll pull the majority of my savings out and put it in another bank.

If you literally type “HYSA” in Google, the first non-sponsored result is from Nerd Wallet, and it literally spells out what HYSA means.
For someone looking at managing their own finances, I would hope they have the fundamental knowledge of knowing how to Google something, and doing a bit of research before making changes to their finances.

I moved most of my savings from PNC to a HYSA and no-penalty CD at Ally.
They’re paying 3.75% & 4.75% respectively.

Not even close.
Tahoma 31 is a hybrid of Bermuda and Rye.
All you need to do is google Tahoma 31, it’s the first thing that pops up.

Look at the Accords with the 2.0T engine in them. Solid powertrain, the car responds well to mods, there’s a pretty good aftermarket, and it’s reliable.

I’ve never bothered to look at one, but from what I’ve read online, they’re not exactly known to be a stalwart of reliability…

Nobody’s getting $33k for a 15 year old Accord with 160k mikes on it.
A Subaru dealer near me had a 2020 Accord Touring 2.0T (top of the line trim and engine) with 31k mikes on it, and they were asking $35k (and they didn’t get it, because I saw them lower the price at least twice.
Figure out what you can afford to where you can pay the car off in 3 years and not stress your monthly finances.
Then go look for a Toyota or Honda. Avoid Hyundai, many of the cheap ones have problematic engines or transmissions. Avoid Nissan, because their transmissions will fail.

Reply to What depth is this drywall? by Cardboardraptor
If it’s on a wall, it’s like 1/2” with just a lot of skim coat and texture.
Having said that, if you’re trying to match the nearly 1” depth, you could buy 5/8” to help save you time skim coating to build up the thickness.
