I wasn't sure if I had my current registration... So I just drove away from it. No crime against saving time.
I've got to go pick up my baby.
Oh, and my registration is good.
So stupid. Why not do this tomorrow? Are they trying to get some year end quota?

I live in Southside and would argue there are plenty of grocery stores here. I'm right near an Aldi, Publix, Kroger, and food lion. You could walk to the Aldi Publix and food lion from my house. I just walked to the river and back. It actually would be doable. I'm considering getting an ebike to commute to work.

I remember reading a news article years ago that made arguments against it in favor of rapid transit. Basically I support buses because I feel like they are something that provide for many but are an achievable thing to lobby for because of the up front costs. I do like a smooth running metro system, don't get me wrong, but I'm much more attracted to the reconfigurability of rapid buses with priority lanes. Much cheaper to fix errors than to dig up tracks.
Basically I think a system should trial a light rail line with buses first. Then move to introduce trains.

Exactly!
Although I'm very against in city light rail in favor of buses that run like a light rail would. So much less expensive for buses to implement and maintain I've heard.

I've heard that we burned through our marble supply... So large scale marble projects aren't going to be a thing. That being said we can still do big beautiful public works projects!

Shutting down a highway for a certain amount of time is considered a state of emergency that's required to be reported to the state.
No emergency service agency is going to be shutting down highways during rush hour for training.

It was 5:15pm on the day before new years on a route people take to get home after work. They weren't looking for drunks at 5pm.
