That's not possible. There are many places with underground power and comm lines. They're not getting fiber anytime soon. I speak from personal experience.

I'm not saying I'd choose VT over CT, I was just answering the parent comment.

I check the rates on EnergizeCT roughly every quarter. Takes two minutes.

Reply to First eversource bill since raised rates by ColCrockett
Mine was just over $300, with the Constellation supplier rate. My bill would have been $100 higher with Eversource as the supplier... This is the highest electricity bill I've ever had. Some of my usage was offset by my solar panels, but I usually run out of banked solar power in late November, so I start getting bills higher than the connection fee in December through February. I can't imagine not having solar with these rates, it's fucking insane.

I think you can have Eversource take over supplier duties from another supplier at any point in the billing cycle if you call them and tell them to switch back. But you can only switch to another third party supplier as of the next meter read.

People did choose the worst option, but I can't find the article now. It was fairly easy for me to find only a few days after the election though.

That's exactly like the people who say they're Republican because they support small government and fiscal responsibility. The GOP has never operated that way in my lifetime. The largest expansions of government and debt in the past 40ish years have occurred under Republican rule, so really, what party do these people belong to? The Republican party now is one that supports removing human rights, taking away voting rights, racism, outright cruelty to marginalized populations, and treason. If you consider yourself a Republican and vote as such, you agree with all of these stances no matter what mental gymnastics you try to pull to tell yourself otherwise.

>That's not the issue. The issue is them trying to divert the conversation by changing it to one about whether X gun is an AR or not. It's a classic alt-right tactic, getting you to debate about something other than whatever you were originally talking about. Most adults know what an assault rifle is, even if they don't know the particulars about whether it's this weapon with a few letters and a number or this other weapon with letters and a number is an assault rifle.
>It's a lame attempt to get a "gotcha" moment by implying that if you don't know everything about guns then your opinion is invalid.

The GoNetSpeed coverage ends at both ends of my street, but doesn't cover anything in the middle because of underground lines. In that short distance they could still offer 1Gbs to everyone on my street if they were allowed to tap into the underground copper but if I had to guess, they can't do that because of line ownership. It's all a bunch of bullshit.
