The only thing that matters with regards to Logan is that he was, is, and always will be beholden to Eversource.
That alone should be disqualifying.
TrashPandaShire t1_it0htk1 wrote
Let’s hope people remember that with the Norm Needleman election.
missvicky1025 t1_it0mmzy wrote
Is Needleman employed by Eversource or one of its companies? If so, then absolutely he should be booted out. Eversource and PURA are extorting Connecticut residents and anyone affiliated with them should have no business legislating them.

He is the chair of the Energy Commission. Do you think he represents Eversource or voters? Do you think he gets political contributions from Eversource or refuses their money? By the way the guy running against him should be calling him out on this every day!!

I did chuckle a bit when hayes said her husband carries a 13rnd revolver. But its very common for any politician not to have much knowledge in firearms

I mean, it's her husbands gun not hers. She isn't trying to inauthentically claim that she is personally into guns, but is saying that she is sympathetic and empathetic to gun owners.

I think she might have gotten confused with what her husband used to carry and what he carries now. I remember the days when all cops would carry were revolvers, the good old days

13 round revolver. Lmao. Ummmm....ok
Smith-WessonPat t1_it08gij wrote
They know nothing about firearms which explains the arbitrary nonsense in their gun control bills. 13 round revolver... jesus christ!

>That's not the issue. The issue is them trying to divert the conversation by changing it to one about whether X gun is an AR or not. It's a classic alt-right tactic, getting you to debate about something other than whatever you were originally talking about. Most adults know what an assault rifle is, even if they don't know the particulars about whether it's this weapon with a few letters and a number or this other weapon with letters and a number is an assault rifle.
>It's a lame attempt to get a "gotcha" moment by implying that if you don't know everything about guns then your opinion is invalid.

Come November, the Republican Party will be sorry, too. Early polling of the general population gave her a 10 point higher chance against Senator Blumenthal than either Levy or Lumaj.

I live in a more red than average part of the state within her district. No one seemed to complain when she helped award millions of dollars in community funding to the district for critical improvements that were long overdue.

Not only does Hayes vote in lockstep with Pelosi, she dresses in the exact same way too.
makeusqwirt OP t1_it136ye wrote
She can't afford to dress like she has Pelosi money,it's totally amazing that paul Pelosi that he makes all the right moves in the stock market, it's almost like he has an inside man that gives him insider trading tips

She argues a politically driven 'maybe', he argues facts.
People who don't vote for facts get what they deserve.
"Hayes, seeking her third term, said Logan, a former state senator, would join a conservative caucus with plans to further curtail women's reproductive rights and threaten Social Security and Medicare. She worked to portray him as someone from outside the district who was ousted from the state legislature after two terms and is now the recipient of millions of dollars in advertising from conservative leaders.
Logan focused on the economy and inflation.
"Connecticut's economy is shrinking under the Biden-Harris administration," Logan said. "Connecticut's personal income growth: worst in the nation. We can do better, but we won't under the current administration.""

Want to know how she's doing - Read her bills. She's sponsored more legislation than almost any other CT Rep in the past two sessions. Most of her legislative pieces focus on health, education, crime, security and labor.
Edit - Also, she just got a big win for a major piece of sponsored legislation that became a law.
>Shown Here: Public Law No: 117-129 (05/21/2022)
Access to Baby Formula Act of 2022
>This bill authorizes the Department of Agriculture (USDA) to take certain actions to address emergencies, disasters, and supply chain disruptions (particularly the shortage of infant formula in the United States) affecting participants of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
>The bill directs USDA to require each infant formula cost containment contract to include remedies in the event of an infant formula recall, including how an infant formula manufacturer would protect against disruption to WIC participants in the state.
