I don’t think we’re understanding each other but thanks for the advice.

The complaint is more about having at least 7 blocks worth of street parking unavailable for a full week all at the same time without much warning. Despite what some cars blowing through stop signs think, this isn’t a highway and doesn’t need to all be repaved all at the same time. They could stagger which blocks are being worked on at a time. I don’t mind walking a few blocks home from where I parked, that’s common. But the 7 blocks worth of cars vying for the same decreased quantity of street spots shouldn’t happen.

It does actually go all the way to 5th on Brunswick.
So 7 blocks have no parking on both sides of the street for the week.

$15/year for the permit to park on the street

Parking’s going to be real fun in an area that’s already normally short on spots. Who tf planned this?

40 years isn’t that long when the work to do the repairs probably wouldn’t be complete for another ten years. Not saying I can think of any better solutions; the whole thing’s a mess.

So if you see him out, make sure you’re between him and the door and you have really long, clumsy legs that stick out.
