Parking’s going to be real fun in an area that’s already normally short on spots. Who tf planned this?

How much are you paying to park there?

Market rates for reserved parking run at $150-200+ per month. Jersey City street parking is the biggest bargain there is and still folks like you will complain about having to walk a few extra blocks home for construction.

The complaint is more about having at least 7 blocks worth of street parking unavailable for a full week all at the same time without much warning. Despite what some cars blowing through stop signs think, this isn’t a highway and doesn’t need to all be repaved all at the same time. They could stagger which blocks are being worked on at a time. I don’t mind walking a few blocks home from where I parked, that’s common. But the 7 blocks worth of cars vying for the same decreased quantity of street spots shouldn’t happen.

Looks like max 3 blocks in any direction. Max 900ft according to Google maps.

I agree with you in terms of local streets not being highways, but cyclists also benefit from well maintained roads.

If you can't deal with 5 days of reduced parking for infrastructure, you are welcome to pony up for a reserved spot.

I don’t think we’re understanding each other but thanks for the advice.

As a car owner I am entitled to parking heavily subsidized by tax payers directly in front of my home and if that's not provided I am being oppressed by the evil leftist nazis.
