Welcome! There definitely is a bit of bi-directional moving. Yea I've had a few friends who've relocated to Philly too.

damn...pretty sure i know that cat. I guarantee you the cat is/was trying to head back to Marshall St. Looking around that area from Grace to Marshall would probably be most fruitful around Hill Cafe.

Reply to comment by blackmamba1221 in So is is just me or is Gersi basically the worst Italian restaurant in Richmond? by Swrdmn
financial success for a restaurant means they are doing the right things to make money and only part of it is making great food. the end product is ok but not phenomenal. i grew up in North Jersey and literally 95% of the Sopranos was filmed within a 30 mile radius of my hometown and a lot of it like 15 minutes away. i thus ate a ton of Italian food growing up given the demographics, all from local joints, and it was all better than Gersi.

One time I saw one right in the middle of Cary St near the Byrd theater. Little guy was frozen and panicking about which way to go but luckily the cars had stopped and then someone scooped him up and set him on the sidewalk.

probably, the only good source for that i think is the social media pages for media outlets or a collective hub of them. all individual ones are self-serving imo.

who cares about influencers…they’re generally mostly lame. they’ve definitely ruined a few of my hobbies/interests. like i don’t need someone a decade or more younger than me telling me they think they know more than i do about xyz and then doing it in this phony saccharine for social media way.

yea that’s because the Richmond parking enforcement is a joke compared to where I moved from. Philly Parking Authority is so bad they made a show about it.

As a Philly transplant I try to make it as “Sunny”down here as well, which is fitting since Philly is now the capitol of “where bad things happen” for the segment you’re referring to.

there’s a very hungry hawk patrolling Church Hill. It nabbed all the squirrels on my block then took one of the cardinals that frequented my yard. hopefully this squirrel doesn’t stay out in the open.

It happens at least once but generally it's one car. I just let them go on their way. if it's really bad and they truly are reckless and I have a passenger I have them phone it in.
