I personally would take the KPH30i over either of these cans, and they're 30 bucks. But that's just me.

At around this price the Hifiman R7DX really puts them to shame IMO.

Sounds like it's just a bad, cheap headset built for looks and not performance.

As a big fan of open headphones I'm rather excited to see Sony giving this style a try. If they sound better than bone conduction they could be a real winner. Could work for biking?

Anyone know if it is possible to reshape the end of this coiled cable without damaging it? The way the coil ends at a 90 degree angle is a bit annoying. Would like to reshape it to continue out straight.

Any thoughts on how to do this? I assume it's the rubber giving it the shape and not the wire?

Put them over the box for a few days, or maybe consider the 599 (half the clamp for some reason).

But yeah these are clampy.

It can give you an idea, but not tell the whole story.

It can tell you that the treble is a little high, but not necessarily if it's harsh or sharp. It's really just volume levels. If people understand that, it goes a long way.
