that whole plaza basically died... there used to be apartments near there that sunk into the ground because they were not built on bedrock... there was a le pain quotiden that closed down, fairway market closed down, there used to be a good bbq place there that closed down.

basically that area went downhill I think

dont ask them to lower the rates, ask them to give concessions such as several months free, free parking..ect

The apartment owner needs to report the gross rent to their investors, for their loans..ect but they can use concessions to lower the effective rent

under the system the government created they should not. why would anyone be a taxi driver and pay 800k, when they can bypass all that by just doing uber or lyft?

the solution is for the government to buy back medallions from the drivers for whatever they paid for them. then not regulate taxis or limos at all.

The city should have said "a private livery vehicle that is reserved 4 hours in advance does not need a medallion. and is considered a limo service."

"a livery service that is reserved less than 4 hours in advance is considered a taxi and requires a medallion"

this would have been fair to everyone.
