It's a bad value for the aesthetics, sure.
But it is a double-shot keycaps set. It is pretty much one of the thickest option out there for keycaps barring CRP keycaps.
That said, there are clones with probably third or quarter the price that is instantly available that is also a double-shot keycaps set.

>Hey everyone, I just wanted to give y'all a heads up, especially those who are new to the hobby. I recently came across this site called 'gmkkeycaps.com' while searching for "GMK keycaps" on Google
I've seen this shit happened to Altra (shoe maker brand) too and other big name brands.
There's just too many fake sites that just probably take away your credit card information and/or outright send you clones that are being sold probably for much more than the "average" clone pricing of GMK keycaps.

That trampoline typing feel is mostly good for novelty, for me at least.
From a practical standpoint, the bouncy typing feeling is not for everyone.

They make me money.
With or without selling them. The former by selling to someone else obsessed enough and the latter by selling my time and skill in writing things.
Except in this case, it'd be more reasonable for me to upgrade the PC if I needed rendering work because that would be a much higher return on investment.

Not really sure you would need to improve further than 60 WPM because writing decent sentences for an article at 60 WPM is a skill that I would kill.
On the other hand, I think the greatest improvement if you are already typing well is to type perfectly all the time. Not really sure if finger placements really matter that much since I'm just hover typing almost all the time for ergonomic reasons.

Mostly Keychron with QMK support. It's a firmware that does a lot of things.
Nuphy AFAIK doesn't have QMK compatibility, so you are somewhat limited in customization.
Difference between Keychron series is written on their site on the specs, layout and price, mostly.

TX Stabs is the only stabilizer kit that for some reason don't need any lube to be tick / rattle free.
Meanwhile, if I want to "save" money, I'd go with Cherry Clip Ins because TX Stabs apparently sell better than literal cookies and Durock V2 is more expensive and needed a lot of tuning to be tick free anyways.

Wire stabilizing works a hell lot more than I thought it would be.
Especially when the lube fails. Turns out, the wires were off balance.

So, I think the debate has been raging on, I've my fill with the clusterfuck of "buying clones is evil."
But in any case, not sorry for being callous, it is what it is. On the other hand, there had been other keycaps that are not double shot but seemed to be thick plastic on the stems. For example, Shenpo and Xiami.
Still, they are mostly beige colored. Or... if you have Kailh Box or (AFAIK) Cherry MX Clears with extremely tight fit, that can happen.

Ah fuck, here we go again.
Just a tip, there's better things to do with GMK vs. clones with someone bringing counterfeit issue. It will get nowhere and will inevitably go down the path of insults.
You get what you paid for. It is what it is. At very least (while not ideal), vendors may offer some sort of warranty if you buy the keycaps from the GMK. Plus, there's other keycap manufacturers that might not break the bank.
You do know that the debate will never end and will get worse.
I'll do you one more just to sizzle the shit pan! Get in to the group buy to resell them at a premium to actually get the in-stock. Let the suckers pay for your extras!

Nope, in this case, aluminum (it's metal) case boards have a risk for ESD.
In my case, I'll feel buzzy when I'm touching my Vega when I'm not grounded. Makes me think that the board was "susceptible" to ESD. Even though it never broken once on me.
More metal, more risk to conduct static discharge. Even then, I don't think it's accurate to just say "swap to polycarbonate or plastic case" to simply alleviate the issue.
Then again, I am no electrical engineer. Probably helps a little that I have little to no carpet flooring at my current residence plus the wood flooring probably helped.

Vega from ai03 for example... Kinda shocks all the time (???) but never died at all. Well, not a zap, more like a buzzing when I touch the case.
Also Kei (Monokei), Noah (Matrix Lab), Neo87 (CherryB Studio), and U80-B (Rama). They all metal but it's very rare to see someone complaining of their PCB dying. Either it's rare or just "untold."
