For sure. A lot of original owners who bought in the late 1990s are now empty nesters and approaching retirement so I wouldn't be surprised if they started selling soon. Many new families have moved in over the last 3 years.

Your other option is to buy an outparcel. You can tell which ones are not governed by CA because the street signs are green instead of blue.

Reply to Possibly Moving to Columbia from Central PA by [deleted]
- We've lived in Columbia for 8 years and purposefully chose it because of it's diversity. We are a multiracial family and wanted to raise our kids in diverse place. It's extremely kid/family friendly.
- Regardless of what people say, Columbia is safe and a great place to live. That being said, the area around the mall may be less family friendly.
- School system is excellent. One of the best in the country.
- My company is based in Rockville and I work from home. I would not want to commute there.

I'm with CWC right now and have been happy. Tried to get in with JHU when I was ten weeks and they ahd literally zero appointments. Someone was supposed to call to fit me in and no one ever did.

Reply to Water bill? by crruss
Is that for a month or a quarter? We only pay quarterly. If it is billed directly from the county, it should only be quarterly. Still seems high, though, honestly. We have 4 people in a 6 bedroom SFH and pay about $140 quarterly.
