Why would the IRS care? You pay federal taxes anyway.

The states may care because they want you paying their taxes, whether they be income or sales.

The employer is the one who would really be mad to find out. They are paying a standard wage based on cost of living. They don't want to pay hcol wages to lcol remote workers, OP is considering gaming that offer.

+1 for all of this ^

There are cheaper tires out there. Costco does not sell low tier brand tires. They sell high quality top tier tires, at cheaper than anyone else.

Michelins, Bridgestone, BFG.

They include road hazard warranty for free, which is a considerable add on at most places, and theirs tire centers are widely available.

I don't recall if I had to select it. I think it was auto selected, but recall there being an option to adjust. Mine was pre withheld at 10%

A copy of the 1099 is filed with the IRS, so it's not one that's going to slide. You're best to start working on an amended return with your tax pro if you forgot to include it.

It is HR 1389 that you are talking about.

It is still in the House committee and has not had a floor vote in either chamber.

With this status this far into the legislative session, it is unlikely to pass.

Edit: the Senate version, SB5435, is even less far along, not having even made it to committee yet.

WA enchanced DL is REAL ID compliant.

They'll mostly be looking at your papers. Be sure to bring all that you have: old ID, passport, SS card, any other gov issued IDs, CPL, and other proof of residency, like bills, vehicle registration, or anything else that has your name and address on it.

Maybe if the parking on the north side is full, everyone should just find another hike.

Not only is that many people a parking issue, but the tower is going to be full, and the trail is going to suffer excessive erosion.

There are a dozen other good hikes within a 20-minute drive of Heybrook.

Idk why you need to blame motorists traveling a state highway when it was the lack of foresight of the USFS in developing the trail and trailhead location.

Same all applies to the Eagle Falls swim hole. Recreationalists are the cause of the unsafe conditions by parking on the shoulder in stupid high numbers. It was so bad they had to paint the parking areas and cut the total parking capacity to less than half.

It is law in most places that sentimental and non-valueable personal items be returned to the storage unit management.

Things like bills, mail, photos, legally, all must returned, and you can collect them.

This doesn't help with the valuable art or furniture, but at least you should be able to recoup your sentimental stuff like the photos.

PLEASE reach out to the storage and let them know there are those things in the unit. They can relay that info to the buyer, and they can set your stuff aside for you to collect.

You are required to be paid for a 15-minute break for each 4 hours worked. Your employer may require you to remain on the premises during this break.

You are required to be offered a 30-minute un-paid meal break for every 5 hours worked in a shift. Your employer may not require you to remain on the premises during this break.

These rules tend to get wishy-washy if you are not a traditional hourly employee. If you are salaried or piece rate, they can be applied to your work/pay in different ways.

But no, there are no pay rates for meals.

Doctors used to use electroshock to treat schizophrenia.

Dentists used to use arsenic to treat tooth pain.

I guess we better just ignore the composite opinions of every group of professions in today's world /s.

We understand things better after failures. The fed is 5 times older now than it was during the depression. Everyone learns from their mistakes. 1913 was still very early compared to today's largely digital and very accessible stock market.

This isn't the Victorian era. We have stock markets and centralized banks all over the world.

Low positive inflation incentives people to invest their excess cash in business, which promotes growth. Deflation greatly increases the risk of loss to such investments and means that money you stash under your bed will be worth more in a year than it is now, incentiving not spending or investing your excess cash, retarding the economy.

There are many contributing factors to economic growth, but one of the baselines we have to stabilize it in a predictable manner is inflation. By maintaining a low positive inflation, we maintain stable growth.

This is a widely accepted view from financial professionals and is why the fed manipulates interest rates to steer inflation.
