Agree ironbound is best bet, but to be clear, depending on day and time it can take 10 minutes just to get out of the airport, let alone over to the ironbound.

If you’re 15-20? Yes. If you’re 21+? Mostly yes. You’ll find a few spots to hang, but will mostly go elsewhere.
If you’re 30+, married with kids? Still yes, but you are happy about it.

Do you have to drive?
The path always seems faster/easier than driving between Newark and JC depending on where you need to be.

Reply to comment by LukeGoldberg72 in What is the typical PTO for a salaried Pharma employee of 8 years in NJ? by LukeGoldberg72
Not in the experience of those I know that work there, though for what it’s worth, statistically people with unlimited pto take off less time throughout the year.
BMS is also closed week between Xmas and new years for corporate/office employees.
LalaOringe t1_j5wdrq2 wrote
I think it depends on the company. I believe BMS offers unlimited PTO, for better or worse.

Radio contests are real. If you are listening online, there’s a delay, and by the time you hear it and call, you’re too late.
If you’re listening on FM, you need to dial as soon as the contest starts. If you can find a landline, they connect faster than cell phones.

Definitely depends on your final destination in the city. Keep in mind the ferry is much more expensive than the train, but you can’t beat it as a commuting method (unless you get sea sick!)

Ooh yes, love this suggestion. They recently renovated/revamped - it’s much less stuffy than it used to be and the food and cocktails were great!

The only thing I really enjoy about the holidays these days is watching how excited my nieces and nephews get about the littlest things… Christmas lights, baking cookies, a glimpse of Santa, etc. I’m not generally a kid person, but they make me want to do all the holiday things.
If there’s no kids in your family or friend group, it’s time to channel your inner child: make a playlist of your favorite holiday tunes, put up a few easy decorations, bake yourself some holiday treats, and reflect on any small things that really give you joy.
