Some of the medical dispensaries pushed to open up to Rec sales. Those are the main ones selling rec in NJ. Jersey City, never had a medical dispensary.

Any type of ID. They want to check your age and have it on file for safety/security purposes

Yes it’s legal to posses, purchase and consume weed in NJ and NYC if you are 21+. You will need to bring some form of I.D to visit the dispensaries in NJ. Not all dispensaries have rec sales some are still Medical only. Better do some research before you make a trip. There are no official rec dispensaries in NYC yet, but alot of unofficial ones and street sellers.
