It's usually more rare for a One Hit Wonder to be a true One Hit Wonder. Usually there's at least one, lesser remembered hit due to momentum of the main hit or earlier success. On YouTube Todd in the Shadows has a great series called One Hit Wonderland, exploring the histories of the people behind One Hit Wonders and there usually is a modest amount of success either before or after the big one.

My recommendation would be to respond to the letter with all of the facts you have at your disposal-copy of the letter appointing you to a home office, how your company determined it was a bona fides company office, a cover letter explaining what you explained in the post, etc.
If they start assessing tax after your response, would probably be a good idea to get an accountant to take over before you pay it

Yeah NY is aggressive in sending those types of letters. NY currently does not recognize any home office as a company office under their "convenience of the employer" rule.
I expect this issue to eventually go to court once NY rules against someone and that person has the resources to sue NY.
Did you have any deferred compensation paid in 2022 that relates to the time that you were still assigned to the NY office? This would be stock options that vested in 2022, bonus paid in 2022 for 2021 performance, etc. Any of that compensation is still subject to NY tax under their accrual rule-you have to use Form 203-F to separate out that compensation from your salary.
Good luck, NY blows

Yeah AXS usually isn't too bad. Just bought Silversun Pickups tickets too! $12 in fees on a $35 ticket. My only gripe is that pre-pandemic the ticket price was usually $25 per ticket at this venue but I can't complain too much

Hard to narrow it down to one song, a few:
Sober by Lorde
Crushcrushcrush by Paramore (counting it since there are no spaces, but would choose Pool as a runner up)
Videotape by Radiohead
Tether by Chvrches
Youth by Daughter

When I saw Florence + The Machine a few years ago there was a break between songs where Florence asked the audience to put their phones away for a few songs to be present in the moment. Most of the audience complies but not everyone.
She has a pretty quiet speaking voice normally.
With still some phones still out she says "I've asked you once, so now I'm going to use the correct Queen's English........PUT YOUR FUCKING PHONE AWAY!"

Oh, and don't forget the raider skirmish doesn't just have people being shot but also burned alive and electrocuted...
And also some of the people being shot in other episodes are children, which is a line for some people.

Every episode has graphic scenes, they just don't take up the run of the episode.
Episode 1 has the outbreak and everything in the QZ
Episode 2 introduces the clickers
Episode 3 has the raiders
Episode 4 has the entry into Kansas city
Episode 5 I shouldn't even have to explain
Episode 6 has a skirmish with raiders

I can't think of a venue I've been to for a concert that didn't have a coat check, but it's possible if the venue is super super tiny. You can always call them and ask to confirm.
Jackattack736 t1_j8z9bym wrote
Coat check is your friend! I've checked so many things that are not coats at coat check- mugs from the bar beforehand, poster I bought at the concert and yes vinyl too. They'll give you a stub just like they would for a coat and will have a plastic bag or something to wrap it in

It's honestly pretty rare for songs to be written entirely by 1 person with 0 help. Recording is a collaborative process with others (band members, studio musicians, producers, sound engineers all contribute to the process)
That said, here are two good Taylor Swift songs where Taylor is credited as the sole writer (note, writer and producer are two different jobs)
No Body, No Crime
My Tears Ricochet

Be warned, it's nothing like Misseducation and is not considered good.
Also, doing some extra digging Pearl Jam played State of Love and Trust on their unplugged performance a few months before the studio version was released as a single for a movie soundtrack
Jackattack736 t1_j2dndpa wrote
I can do you better than just 1 new song, Lauryn Hill's Unplugged is entirely new songs. She's a complicated artist, especially when it comes to live performances, and it didn't lead to any hits but it's certainly unique.
Then there's also artists doing covers that wouldn't be released on any studio album, like Nirvana covering David Bowie's The Man Who Sold the World or Florence + The Machine covering Johnny Cash's Jackson (and bringing up Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age to duet for that song)

Someone else asked about Lincoln Park a few weeks ago, going to copy my comment from that post and link to the thread. If you have any specific questions, by all means!
Grew up in Lincoln Park, here are my thoughts:
Be very careful to research if your house will be flooded. A lot of the town is prone to flooding, but not all of it. The closer you are to the Pompton River or the Passaic River, the more likely you will be flooded out. Anything on a hill should be fine but you'll still have to deal with road closures after hurricanes.
The schools are fine for K-8 but there isn't a high school in Lincoln Park. If you're still living there when it's time for high school your options are for your kid to take a bus to Boonton High School (which is free but the high school isn't fantastic-not bad just not amazing compared to the other high schools in the area) or you'd be looking at private schools (a popular cheaper option is DePaul but even that is pricey)
A&A is a great Italian deli right on Main Street, Rails is a good steakhouse but pricey (technically in Towaco). Anthony Francos is my favorite pizza place in all of NJ (but I'm biased bc it's my childhood pizza)
If you have to get into Manhattan, you're on the Montclair Boonton line and your stop would be Lincoln Park station-just on the edge of the downtown area. There is a transfer at Newark Broad and it's usually just over an hour into Penn Station. There is also a Park and Ride at the Willowbrook Mall if you're looking to get into Port Authority.
The town lake is a great place to hang out in the summers. They do some events on the weekends in the summer like a movie night outdoors or some live music.
