Someone else asked about Lincoln Park a few weeks ago, going to copy my comment from that post and link to the thread. If you have any specific questions, by all means!

Grew up in Lincoln Park, here are my thoughts:

Be very careful to research if your house will be flooded. A lot of the town is prone to flooding, but not all of it. The closer you are to the Pompton River or the Passaic River, the more likely you will be flooded out. Anything on a hill should be fine but you'll still have to deal with road closures after hurricanes.

The schools are fine for K-8 but there isn't a high school in Lincoln Park. If you're still living there when it's time for high school your options are for your kid to take a bus to Boonton High School (which is free but the high school isn't fantastic-not bad just not amazing compared to the other high schools in the area) or you'd be looking at private schools (a popular cheaper option is DePaul but even that is pricey)

A&A is a great Italian deli right on Main Street, Rails is a good steakhouse but pricey (technically in Towaco). Anthony Francos is my favorite pizza place in all of NJ (but I'm biased bc it's my childhood pizza)

If you have to get into Manhattan, you're on the Montclair Boonton line and your stop would be Lincoln Park station-just on the edge of the downtown area. There is a transfer at Newark Broad and it's usually just over an hour into Penn Station. There is also a Park and Ride at the Willowbrook Mall if you're looking to get into Port Authority.

The town lake is a great place to hang out in the summers. They do some events on the weekends in the summer like a movie night outdoors or some live music.
