Not true at all.
Derek Chauvin was arrested days after Floyd was killed. It took weeks for these cops to be arrested.

Reply to ELI5 - When losing weight, why is it common to hear "burn more than you consume" in reference to calorie intake. if you consume" 1000 calories, how do you burn 1500? by Freedom-No-781
If you use less than you eat your body converts the extra into fat. When you use more than you eat, your body uses that stored fat. Fat has weight.

Thrust not lift. Lift is made by the wings.

Did I ever say that they couldn't? No, I didn't. I was refuting a specific point that the guy above me made. Nothing more, nothing less.

I meant horses having incredibly weak legs....OP said that elephants have sturdy legs because they have to carry a lot of weight and mice have small legs because they don't. Horses are a counter to that statement.

Often the "leading brand" is actually just the generic version and not the top name brand. It makes it easier to use a worse version of the same product without lying, which is illegal. In your example of Miller Lite and Michelob "more taste" is a subjective statement, so it can't be a lie and Miller Lite does have fewer calories than Michelob so that's not a lie either.

Reply to comment by Shorthawk in ELI5: Why is it that, at some gas stations, it’s cheaper to pay with cash instead a credit card? by tgjj530
Because they actually make money on the snacks. They make a few cents per gallon, and that all depends on how many other gas stations are around.

Reply to comment by SirDuke6 in ELI5: Why does putting one foot out from under the blankets bring so much relief of heat while laying in bed? by SirDuke6
It's a psychological effect. Just like the drinking water provides "immediate" relief even though it really doesn't. It's your brain rewarding itself for doing something it decided it needed to do to survive. The brain is funny like that.

Yes. If you're ever really hot, run cold water on the inside of your wrists. Those veins are near the surface and lead directly to your heart. It'll cool you down so fast it's crazy.

It's not money pissed away to them. It's an investment for when their oil runs out. They want to be the world's playground, the place rich people go for fun over the top vacations year round. Want to go to the beach and go skiing in the same day? SA's got you. That's their plan for when they run out of oil.
