The discourse among the community is irrelevant. Souls games aren't that way because Souls fans fervently defend it, they're like that because that's how the developers want their game to be experienced. So the same goes here, if Pokemon developers want to add difficulty levels that's their choice. The community debating about it has nothing to do with it.

Wait, I thought you were saying this ironically at first. Because the fact that we see Batman's origin story in every movie has become a meme at this point, actually wanting to see more of that is a pretty unpopular take I think.

Boring is one way to put it. I thought the pace was slow but I was never bored. The pacing is really what made me like it so much. I didn't want a Batman action movie. I wanted a Batman detective thriller.
