Are there any lawyers here who might be able to tell whether or not legal precident has been set with this case? If he was charged as a regular citizen and found not-guilty, does that mean RI now considers it legal for any concerned citizen with a concealed carry permit to just roll up to a random parking lot, jump out their car and start shouting demands while brandishing a handgun?
Is it now legal to shoot people who try to run away from you by car for aiming a gun and yelling at them, or are we still "safe" because this ruling somehow can't apply to anyone else?

Wait, so if he wasn't tried as an officer, just found not guilty as an average citizen, does that mean RI just set legal precedant for being able to walk up to any teenager in any parking lot, yelling at them while aiming a gun in their direction, and then shooting at them when they try to run away from you?

How funny would it be if the same year RI energy jacked up prices, RI had a record-breaking warm winter that made it so barely anyone needed their heaters. I know it would just mean nothing but bad news invironmentally, but it would be a great "screw you" to those greedy tramps.

Reply to Esporta Vs Edge fitness in Warwick/Cranston? by dopedave
I've been to the Edge fitness in Cranston. All I can say is Edge does not have a pool or much privacy. Showers have lightly blurred glass doors. Toilet stalls have lighlty blurred glass doors. Really small Saunas have crystal clear glass doors. The female janitors get a free show anytime they want cuz management let them enter the mens locker/bathroom/showers without any announcement (had a women mop the floors while I was bathing not 3 feet away). I don't know if they let the male janitors do the same for the womens locker room/showers/toilet stalls but if you're a woman, defenitly be aware that it's a possibility depending on who they have working that day.
If you are not as self conscious as me, the only real draw back I would worry about is the lack of machines available during regular to peak hours. I really get the feel that they target highschool to college kids because depending on the time of year, you can almost never find a machine at a time a regualr person would want to get up and exercise.
Massage and tanning are also almost never available but to be fair that's not why anyone really goes to the gym anyway.

Reply to Has anyone else had issues with cell service downtown the past month? From the mall, to rwu, to the train station, I haven’t been able to get service in that triangle. As soon as I’m out of that area, it’s fine by rick_n_snorty
Maybe there's just too many people using their cellphones too close together. All that digital traffic would have to get sent to the same cell towers in the area. Maybe the towers just don't have the bandwidth to keep up?
I don't pass through the area often anymore, so I can't say for certain, but it's not like they have any for-profit libraries or internet-cafes that would call for a conspiracy theory.
