But but but they sound good, that's all that matters! /s

And this is what I disagree with crinacle's ratings the most, the fact that his only criteria is sound, and not the QC, build, comfort, etc. Personally, the best sounding gear don't mean a damn if they don't fit your head/ear, you can't wear them for 30 minutes without pain, or they just outright break.

Oh man, these were the three I read about the most a decade ago when I was looking for my first pair of "good" headphones over $10 earbuds. Unfortunately they were all too uncomfortable, so I went with the AD700 based on its recommendation for comfort.

Seems like my comments aren't popular with Focal fans... Hey, it's their money.

As for why I used Sennheiser and not Beyer, it's because Beyers are already known for good build quality and repairability, while Sennheiser's plasticky-ness are often seen as a con, but still does not affect their durability. I use Sennheiser as an example of good plastic use, unlike Focal.

Who was the carrier that shipped it? Some older posts in the Drop forums indicated that Drop used DHL to ship, resulting in additional fees, has that changed? I may consider picking a pair up if there aren't extra fees outside shipping + taxes...

While their shopping costs are reasonable, the fees charged by the shipping couriers they partner with are not. Look up the many horror stories of Canadians getting hit with huge fees after ordering from Drop.
