How ready can you be, though? Like has everyone started building bunkers or something?
If a MAD situation happened I feel like all you can really do is duck and cover and then try to survive fallout and ruined infrastructure with your own supply of food and medical supplies. Hospitals and transit would be fucked so if you’re injured or sick you’ll probably die and grocery stores won’t be stocked/can’t grow food on irradiated/burnt rubble piles so you’ll get hungry and die

Fuck that. Put me up front with a pair of sunglasses, my lawn chair and a beer and let me vaporize.

I used to play all the time. When I was 18, I thought I was a prodigy. I was pretty damn good. But was so scared to play in front of anyone. Then I went to college and playing went down the pisser. I still play now and then, but I can't play like I used too. Amazing what 8 years of not playing and trying to pick it back up really shows. Especially given my job has beat my hands and fingers pretty good. But yeah, I can bring that too I suppose.

I started at 14 I think and really never stopped. Though now I'm more interested in repairing and modifying them. I just fucking love everything about guitars. So much fun.

I started at 10. Was never a typical learner. Most people learned with chords and scales and such. I learned by sound. Taught myself. Would listen to a song over and over and memorize the notes through sound and would duplicate it. Took a long time to learn about different tuning, and when I found that out, it blew the door off the hinges for me. At 15, I could play the entire BFMV EP album. Then, I started learning atreyu, and so on. Loved anything in drop c cause it just was such a crunchy, deep sound and that was what I loved. I got to a point where I started writing my own tabs and stuff, but never got around to finding people who'd wanna watch me play or play along with me. I did have a guy I worked with when I was in college right before I stopped playing that invited me over once and we jammed in his garage and he told me to play lead for a song and after that, I never played in front of any one again. Dude was blown away though. He showed me some stuff though. Well, explained standard things to me I never grasped though. Truly a cool experience. I'll DM you though, this is world news and we are getting carried away lol

Yeah I mean that would be best case scenario. I’m talking about all the people who will be outside of the incineration zone

Yeah, I know. MAD is just a crazy subject that I can't believe is possible in my time. I hoped we were past this, but I always forget about the human condition.

How? It premeates everything around you...Your drive to work, you employer, the interactions with your co-workers and the people you encounter during your day, the movies and shows you watch, reddit, ect.
Edit: one word
guitarmaniac17 t1_jecxi9x wrote
Yeah, but consciously, do you think about that stuff? Not usually.

I’ve done Bloodborne 100% 3 times, I beat Sekiro without knowing how to lightning parry, hell I beat Dark Souls 2 Scholar whilst accidentally joining the champions covenant.
I think I can parry a nuke, bring it.

Muratov:
"We see how state propaganda is preparing people to think that nuclear war isn't a bad thing," he says. "On TV channels here, nuclear war and nuclear weapons are promoted as if they're advertising pet food."
"They announce: 'We've got this missile, that missile, another kind of missile.' They talk about targeting Britain and France; about sparking a nuclear tsunami that washes away America. Why do they say this? So that people here are ready."
