Underrated show. The theme song was a banger.
Fillmore. Absolutely love that show, but it's still not on Disney+, and I don't know why. I googled it before posting really quick to make sure that was still the case, and apparently they put Fillmore on the UK version of Disney+ earlier this year but not anywhere else. :(
It’s weird looking at paramount plus because they have most of the notable Nickelodeon cartoons but Disney plus has a good chunk of classic toons missing for no reason whatsoever
Generally aren't the missing shows usually contracted to another service? Disney can't put them on their service until a previous agreement expires.
Sometimes, that is the case, but Fillmore doesn't stream anywhere else, and I don't think I've ever seen it streamed anywhere in the past. I guess it's possible that some company owns the rights without ever putting the show on their service, but I'd think those rights would have expired by now. I was once told that there just wasn't enough demand for it to have it be a priority, but there are many extremely obscure things with much fewer fans/people who even remember those things exist on Disney+ so I can't imagine that's the reason either. Its quite weird.
I have heard of licensing being bought in groups and some content never gets actually published for whatever reasons, I imagine some of it's quite extensive and just gets lost in the shuffle.
Or sometimes they are after certain titles in the group and just never bother with the rest, who knows if that's true though.
I may have a reason, but it's just speculation... but Orlando Brown may be the issue.
He was the voice actor for Fillmore on the show, as well as Eddie on That's So Raven and Sticky in The Proud Family. But he managed to completely tank any and all goodwill with Disney for a slew of legal issues including meth addiction and dealing shortly after he left Disney, plus repeatedly fleeing the law when he was scheduled to go to court over past offences.
I think they're still trying to keep Brown as far away from their image as humanly possible.
I considered that, but they have That's So Raven and The Proud Family on Disney+. They did remove him from the sequels (Raven's Home and the new The Proud Family) but he's still in the original shows. Also, they still have Eddie's Million Dollar Cook-Off while even putting his character on the custom thumbnail for the listing on Disney+.
Fun fact: The principal was voiced by Jeff Probst
Also fun fact: It was created by Scott Gimple of The Walking Dead
Dave the Barbarian.
The fact that the Aladdin TV series isn't on there is a serious crime.
They don't have any of the pre 2000s shows except So Weird.
- The Famous Jet Jackson (they don't have the movie either)
- Flash Forward
- The Jersey
I can imagine lack of Jett Jackson is at least somewhat related to his suicide.
yeah, it definitely says something when the series isnt on there and the movie is one of like 3 or 4 dcoms not on there, its gotta at least play a part
Man, the nostalgia in this list. Especially The Jersey. I completely forgot that series existed.
You did remind me that In a Heartbeat also isn't on Disney+ yet. That was a pretty cool show.
Years ago I came across In a Heart Beat on some list of old Disney/Nick shows. But I have no recollection of it for some reason. There's no way I had never watched it, it being on Disney channel in the early 00s. I had forgotten about it again until just now.
Used to love The Jersey, my biggest miss and you can't even find good rips of it on Youtube was their summer camp reality show "Bug Juice".
Ph wow The Jersey, I forgot it even existed. Isn't that the show with the dirty old jersey from like the 1890s that a group of friends passed around and it made them good at whatever sport they were playing? I feel like I remember an episode where it got washed and stopped working.
Iirc, it transported them into the shoes of athletes in the middle of big games. It was a easy way to get a ton of athlete cameos lol, they even had a pro wrestling episode!
Ahh ok, now that you say that I def remember more. I forgot it even existed. I think that it prob has the same problem as The Famous Jett Jackson and it's because they were made by a Canadian production for Canadian Network but Disney bought rights to air in the States
They don’t have The Famous Jett Jackson on the US Disney plus
The Weekenders!
My favourite cartoon from when I was a kid! The annoying thing is they’ve said multiple times it will be on there but it’s been years and nothing.
Not sure what’s taking them so long
“Later days!”
-D+ content curators, probably
I'd really like to see Honey I Shrunk The Kids: The TV Series again.
That was such a weird show.
X-Men Evolution.
I’m pretty sure it’s a Disney show.
It was on it in the US at at least one point
Star Wars holiday special /s^^?
PB & J Otters
Already on there
Fillmore and Brandy & Mr. Whiskers
Naturally Sadie
Life With Derek
The Famous Jett Jackson
Out Of The Box
Out of the box is on there
S1 and 2 of boston legal... who the hecks gonna start a show from s3
I want to say that seasons 1 and 2 have a weird rights crossover issue with The Practice, but I may be misremembering.
But the practice is on d+ in full...
Yeah, it doesn't make sense to me either.
It’s on Hulu as far as I’m seeing
Not a thing here
Ah damn, I thought Disney bundled all the Hulu stuff into Disney+ outside US.
Sadly not s1 and 2 of boston legal...
A s#!+Load of people began the Star Wars saga on episode 4 and enjoyed it very much.
Zubilee Zoo
Disney had nothing to do with that show
Magic and wonder are waiting for you…
All those kdramas they have exclusive rights to but almost never put on Disney+ or Hulu. I want to see The Golden Spoon and Big Mouth without having to jump through hoops!
I’d give a lot for Fringe.
Dinotopia (the miniseries and the full fledged show) Disney co-produced both of them with Hallmark and are perfect for the Disney plus catalog though we probably are never going to see them on it, since a few months ago one of Chicken Soup for the soul's media companies got the Dinotopia adaptation rights and is currently working on a new adaptation
The Spectacular Spider-Man is a weird one that i would like to see somewhere. I believe it was a Sony production but Spider-Man animated rights have reverted to Disney so it might be in rightsholder hell.
It was put on Disney plus 10/19 alongside the mtv spider man
well hey, look at that! thats the other one i remember not being able to find anywhere. thanks.
You are welcome
Spectacular Spectacular Spider-Man is on Canadian Disney+!
where's 24, where the heck is 24. I got Homeland, I got The Americans, cmon
Is the Americans good?
more than that, it's amazing. Watch it pal, you ain't gonna be disappointed
Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll check it out!
Just so you have the perception, The Americans is a spy thriller, but it focuses more on the family dynamics and the way leading secret lives affects people. Like how the Sopranos is a gangster show, but focuses more on the family dynamics.
Thanks. That sounds like something I would be interested in.
Yeah, it's very good, but I feel a lot of people think it's going to have a lot more action to it, and to be fair to them, the first episode kind of sets the show up that way.
What country are you in? I just checked and all of 24 is available.
I don’t have The Americans though?
fuck what, where? England. I got The Americans on Disney here, under Star catalogue
24's been on D+ for ages in the UK.
I’m in Australia. I’ve got 24 and 24 Legacy (i’ve never seen them so I don’t know the difference). But I don’t have The Americans, I believe the rights are with our cable company (Foxtel).
Hulu
When will The Shield (fx) and Happy Endings (abc) be 9n the Irish Disney+
Does Ireland have HBO Max? Because Happy Endings is there right now (in the US) as well as Hulu, but I'm assuming Ireland has Star on D+ and its not there.
Marsupilami and Shnookums and Meat immediately come to mind.
Disney should buy the rights to Square One TV and put it on Disney+, would be great edutainment for kids today.
Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Disney owns the IP for the 2005 movie, but I suspect any TV show will be based on that movie and not the actual books or radio drama. If thats the case, better off letting BBC do a proper update.
NOTE: Its been 3 years since Hulu announce this show, im pretty sure its dead. No reports of a script, casting, director, etc.
Bug Juice.
So why did you pick that? Just curious
It was kind of an obscure reality show that had kids my age so I was a fan of it. I think I was one of five people who ever watched it.
I’m familiar with the name but just surprised to see someone who wants to see it on Disney plus
Any other notable shows missing from Disney plus you’d like to mention?
Aladdin
The Legend of Tarzan
House of Mouse
Fillmore!
Jungle Cubs
Zorro
Davy Crockett
Scarecrow of Romney Marsh
Elfego Baca
The Swamp Fox
They actually just got Zorro.
davy Crockett is on it in Canada was one of the first things I watched on there
The whole show? Not just the movies with a bunch of episodes smushed together?
yeah I totally forgot that they did that
it was the episodes mashed together
Dinotopia both the miniseries and the TV show (Disney co-produced both of them with Hallmark)

Five Mile Creek, a terrific Australian gold rush frontier show from ABC from the ‘80s that Disney owns. It was Nicole Kidman’s acting debut I believe.
i dont know what it was called but i used to watch it in the 80's.
The intro and end of it had a cut version of the 30's Magician Mickey Cartoon.
if anyone can name the show its you hivemind reddit!
Not a show, but a TV movie. The OG Underwraps. No disrespect to the new ones they're putting out but I want to relive one of my childhood favorites.
Internationally, Millennium and the Lone Gunmen, sinc the X-Files is there
Space: Above and Beyond? I only caught a bit of it when it was on the air and still haven't watched the whole thing, but I understand that it was on Fox originally.
What I’d like to know is why the f is the new Under Wraps and its sequel on there, but not the original?!
