Eurasia over on c street would probably get the job done. Maybe mudhouse downtown?

Madhouse can be a gamble to get a table. I would do European cafe.

I’ll 2nd Eurasia but it’s not the comfiest unless you score the window “seat” with the coffee bean bags. Also give Blue Heron Bakery on C Street a go too.

The lobby of the Vandivort could work if not too crowded.

No judgement whatsoever, but this is a thing? Do you read out loud for one another? Or just sit nearby with your own book and chuckle to yourself once in a while? Its something I've never heard of but sounds intriguing.

We like to go pick out books together and just sit next to each other to read usually with some coffee. We take little breaks to talk. We’ve been together for a long time, but this is something we’ve always done. It’s nice and chill. :)

I could see it being cute laying down listening to an audiobook with one earbud in each person's ear.

Yes, I’d like to know what the format is supposed to be.

The local libraries are great (I recommend the Library Center or Brentwood), but if you’re reading out loud or listening or listening to an audiobook, give it a couple months and take a picnic blanket to Nathanael Greene.

The wife and I will go drive around the parks around Lake Springfield until we find a spot we can read. We usually bring coffee or tea or cocoa in a thermos. When it’s cold like now, we use our spare bedroom as a reading nook (we don’t have kids at home) and relax in there. I’ve not found a place locally that is a good book nook.

Obviously not in this weather, but my favorite Springfield past time is to take a book to Nathaniel Greene with a backpack full of snacks and read the day away. I've spent many a day under a tree at NG.
