Hello everyone I’m a digital cinematography student with full sail university and in 2 weeks I will need to film an iconic location from my city for an assignment . I honestly don’t know what to film for this iv thought about the giant fork but idk if I would count that as iconic. What locations would you all suggest?

The French fry sculpture in the east lawn of the art museum is pretty iconic in the city

Just north of the intersection of Kansas Expressway and I44 is the greatest wonder of Springfield: the Kum n Go across from another Kum n Go.

I’d love the know the story behind that. I’ve always seen them and couldn’t figure it out.

One was Cody’s and the other was Kum and Go. Kum and Go bought out Cody’s and kept both open. So the mystery isn’t how they got there but how Kum and Go keeps both open. My guess is to keep a competitor away.

Pythian Castle. Rutledge-Wilson Farm. The Japanese Stroll Garden.

Lander's Theater. Also the downtown Y is closing, which is timely.

If you need some history, run out of Wilson’s Creek battlefield.

I would definitely include the fork. Everyone that I know that's ever been to Springfield has a picture with the fork.

Wouldn’t any of the cashew chicken restaurants be considered iconic since that’s what Springfield is very much known for.

Depends if you want to go classy or hillbilly. For hillbilly you have to go with the OG Bass Pro. For classy I would pick one of the historic buildings or the square downtown. The fork if you know the history behind it is kind of cringe to represent Springfield.
