I applied to CodeRVA, because I want to stick to Coding as I find it enjoyable. I thought CodeRVA was a really good opportunity I couldn't pass up, I still am thinking this although, I am still having second thoughts. I've heard mixed things about the school, either you quit within the first 2 weeks or you stay there and graduate happily. I also haven't been able to find much information about CodeRVA and the one person I talked to about it said they hated it. I was wondering how there teaching is formed, all I've heard is it's a good mix between in person, and online. I was also wondering how focused are they actually on the coding aspect. Finally, do they have a sports team? I'm pretty sure you can just try out for school your zoned for. Thanks for any help!

See if they have a recording of their open house presentation from the fall - they addressed most of these questions then. The administration was very nice so you can probably ask directly if there isn’t a recording.

I’d highly recommend that you talk to your school counselor for the best information about your options!

I don't know how I didn't think of that before... Thank you for the recommendation!

From what I understand, yes you go out for the teams at your zoned school. I have heard that the schedule is "flexible" so if you have outside activities (travel sports, etc.) you can work school around it. I don't know about any of the teacher stuff, but you can leave certified in a coding language.

Do they offer tours for prospective students?
