Just finished voting? Great! Going to grab a coffee or a bite to eat after? Great! I just finished a 10 hour shift in food service, and people are rude as hell today, for some reason. I hate to sound like a kindergarten teacher, but please remember to say please, thank you, and HELLO to the people who are helping you. A tip goes a long way as well. Have a nice day.

I went out for breakfast and lunch and I found the workers in the restaurant much happier and friendlier than normal. Maybe they are compensating for customers?

Counterpoint - If a poll worker pulls your completed ballot out of the privacy envelope to "make sure you filled it out right," like happened to me, you can just snatch it back and insist it gets into the machine.
