Title. anyone have a favorite hiking area in eastern Mass that isn’t a hotspot for dog-walkers? Not looking for hate, dogs just stress me out and I like to relax when I hike. Thank you.

Edit: thank you for the helpful responses so far! And kindly leave your opinions out of this, I specifically asked for you to just keep it to yourself if you’ve got a problem.

Monadnock is a dog-free hike, if you're willing to drive a bit that is

ARNWR (Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge) in Sudbury. 2K acres.

Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge in Concord. Covers a few locations, but the trails near the center abutting the Assabet are very nice.

Would be nice if their were more.

Nothing more annoying than having a relaxing hike, only to be approached by a random dog off leash, that you have no knowledge of

They don’t play, they ticket dog owners in there.
