As a Massachusetts kid, that 4:15 sunset for you was at 3:15 for us. Got to watch it on the school bus on my way home each day.

Pretty sure Brass Monkey is the soccer bar in town. Give them a call, I'd be surprised if they aren't.

Oooof. Used to drive by that all the time, that looks like it was an intense blaze. Glad to hear everyone got out safe, but it's a historic loss of the building and the business.

My freshman year of college all the family weekend events on Saturday were cancelled and the largest complex on campus was evacuated for 8+ hours.
Some dad had left a camera case on his car.

I truly don’t think the fact that auto insurance premiums would go down if universal healthcare is implemented has occurred to anyone. I moved overseas recently and there’s a number of things that are cheaper because affordable medical care exists. The rock climbing gym I go to is about half the price of the one I went to in the US simply because they don’t need the same insurance coverage.

Brass Monkey is the soccer one in town, I think. They regularly have USNT and Revs watch parties.

Any of the Audubon sanctuaries, I believe! Moose Hill is a favorite of mine too.

I am honestly surprised they never brought them to New Zealand. I swear they've introduced every other animal here.

Probably late, but for the next rainy day, you might want to go climbing-I prefer Rockspot Lincoln, but Rockspot Prov and Central Rock Warwick are decent too. Lincoln will just give you the most options (top-rope and bouldering) as a beginner.

The Minnesota Ren Faire also was bonkers this year. Why the sudden explosion in popularity?

Ah, I misunderstood you-thought you were talking about growing up in Michigan and seeing 4:15 sunsets there. Maybe I’m remembering the end time of school, but there were definitely rides home where the school bus had to turn their lights on.
