In Contacts app or Phone app > Contacts, at the top left you may find the word “Lists” (iOS 16) or “Groups” (pre-iOS 16).

If you do:

  • iOS 16: tap on “All [Gmail/Yahoo/etc]”
  • iOS 15 & earlier: deselect iCloud > Done
  • those are not iCloud Contacts
