Your aren't wrong. I was trying to show co-workers and customers that you could produce good looking food with items in the shop, and I didnt have a small enough spoon to scoop of the pesto from the jar.

looks like the steak would be overpowered with that olive oil flavor. less of a pesto and more of an oil soup. also i’ve never been one for whole sprigs as garnish, the thyme doesn’t do much for the presentation imo. Steak looks nice though!
