Don't feel bad about not being able to spell. Look at Baltimore they can't even do simple math

I mean, it's kind of nice for a change to see the workers getting the money. Usually the pension system shortages stem from politically connected fund managers mismanaging the funds, taking crazy commissions, funding BS shit that doesn't make money, etc.

Pretty sure the workers had to return the funds

I heard on NPR this morning that at the time of the payments the city only had one full time employee in the payroll department and a team of contractors that didn't understand the cities payroll software. I couldn't find the article on WYPR's website, but here is a quote from Fox (I know Sinclair):
"In a response to the report, Department of Finance Director Michael Moiseyev revealed that Payroll only had one full-time employee that was supported by a team of contractors. Those contractors lacked detailed knowledge of the city's payroll configurations, according to Moiseyev's letter."

I set up payroll for one of the City’s cultural institutions. Half of the payroll was done by the city and half done by my company. This was 20 years ago and people being paid by the city still had hand written time cards back then.

5 days ago the city posted the following job: "Payroll Manager, Operations Manager I"
Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not, but from the screw up it definitely seems to be needed.
Edit: I can't spell lol
