It really is, I forget too, I stopped at Wanapum North Launch site on the way back and took a nice shot and collected some driftwood, a completely different landscape just 50 miles away to the North. WA-241S is an amazing drive through some of the most beautiful ranchland I've seen, besides the Palouse and around Steptoe. We drive Snoquailmie often to go to the west side to visit family and hit the coast, it's surreal how incredible the topography is in this state within a few hours drive.

You're right, thank you for the correction, the mountain was just as amazing.

This is my favorite part of Washington: even a couple hundred miles away you can see our stratovolcanoes. I grew up in the tri-cities; when I could drive, I'd head up into the hills and see multiple volcanoes at once. I've also taken a lot of trips to the Blue Mountains (near the idaho border) and have seen some of fhe mountains from there.

I fly my drone up here too and can see Rainer and Adams from some amazing spots, and Hood. Very happy that you were able to take those trips, I didn't have a timeframe on my return so I spent time walking around and watching the clouds move today.

Beautiful. Living in Western Washington I forget how varied the landscape is.
