So basically the same as the English water faucets?

Yeah, what's up with that?

Boo on you for your "knowledge" and "facts". I cracked out the budgie smugglers and the thongs and pictured myself chilling and playing goon of fortune on the perfect spot on the moon.
Your comment is a cold vacuum of fun.

Except the Moon rotates, so that temperature shift goes around the Moon every 28 days. Apart from a few deep craters at the poles (if they’re deep enough, there might be water ice at the bottom of those craters), all of the lunar surface experiences both extremes of temperature.

Education! Let’s live on a moon crater ice rink and go moon skating.

I choose option 3 hanging out in the lava tubes on the moon! https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/lunar-pits-maintain-surprisingly-comfy-temperatures-180980532/

The question should not be if there is an ideal temperature for humans, but rather if there is a radius at which you can cook a pizza perfectly!

You would still need an astronaut suit for a myriad of other reasons

Thanks for the hint. I thought I could Willy Nilly waltz about on the moon
bruno_do t1_iya7o1a wrote
you need to wear an astronaut suit mainly because of the vacuum, there is no oxygen at the moon, mate.
Kezly t1_iya81i1 wrote
To be fair, they did specify "for temperature reasons". I'll give them a pass.

Oh, didn't noticed that, my bad.

No worries. Yes the thought was clearly for the temperature only
Super-Kirby t1_iybzzyu wrote
Yeah I thought the same then re-read it and it said for temperature reasons
charliespider t1_iya7srv wrote
Nope. There's no atmosphere to buffer temperatures and transfer excess heat to colder areas. You are either in the direct path of the super intense electromagnetic radiation streaming from the sun, or you are standing in a cold vacuum.
