I'm looking for gas stations, primarily in the Cranston area (or adjacent), where an attendant pumps the gas so I don't have to get out of the car to refuel. Info on any that you know of will be appreciated.

Also, why is this info so hard to find online? I'm generally pretty good at finding info online, but no matter how I've tried searching for this, I get results I know are wrong. Gas finding apps like Gas Buddy or Gas Guru will let you set all sort of filters, but one doesn't even have a filter for this, and the other returns many incorrect results. If you know a why to find this info, reliably, online, I would welcome your wisdom. Even driving by the stations offers little clue sometime.

Cory’s Citgo in Johnston has full service pumps. The guys that own the joint are awesome and super friendly. About 10 minutes from Cranston and a minute from the highway

I know not exactly the area asked but since there seems to be so few options, just thought I would add to the repository of info: Wakefield auto is only full service fueling at 186 Main St, Wakefield.

EDIT to add: I really don't understand the negative response and downvotes this post is receiving. Regardless of the reasoning for OPs post.....isn't this like EXACTLY the kind-of-obscure, hard to find/verify, location based information that is precisely what a large portion of this sub is dedicated to?

Because the other 15 people in the state who would care aren’t on the internet.

Murphy's on the corner of Post Rd and Warwick Ave (technically in Warwick, but right over the line). Haven't been for a few years, but they were always full service when I lived over there.

I haven’t tried anything other than GasBuddy but they definitely have a full service filter on their search.

Aeronaute OP t1_iz852uh wrote

Yes, I knew one of them did, but didn't remember which one. But the results from enabling that filter seem pretty random. It shows stations that aren't full service, and doesn't list others that are known to be.

Proof-Variation7005 t1_iz9qleq wrote

I'd never looked for it before but of the 2 full service stations super close to me in Providence, it flagged one but not the other. Ironic because they're both that typical unbranded small gas station with mechanic bays and no "store" inside.

TBH, I'd probably try checking those types of places on google maps from the street view.

Gas up in New Jersey, where self service doesn't exist. Plus, it's cheaper there, because it's refined there.

1

derpbeluga t1_iz98wie wrote

It's actually more expensive in NJ. I was there last week and it surprised me that gas was about 30 cents per gallon more. Looking at Gas Buddy right now I can find gas in Rhode Island for 3.14. The cheapest in NJ is around 3.35 right now.

I know this isn't near the area but just in case anyone else comes up on this thread in the future:

Martinelli's & Son in Woonsocket is full service, usually has better prices than the other nearby self service stations, and the staff there are friendly.

Bayco gas on Cowesett Ave in West Warwick has Full Service pumps available

I only know this because my mother refuses to pump her own gas (I don't think she knows how and won't learn)

TheMusicGenome t1_iz85gvc wrote

Honestly though… why? Like… why can’t you pump your own gas? Are you disabled? If so, some places have scan it options for that. It’s not rocket science and IMO a waste of the location’s resources.

Accurate-Historian-7 t1_iz8640w wrote

Agreed! We just passed through Jersey recently and it was so annoying having them pump the gas. Plus we had to wait for them to help 5 other people at the same time.

Who cares why? If you're so offended by somebody looking for a service then you didn't have to click through.

BitterStatus9 t1_iz8a96b wrote

Typical Reddit. Doesn’t answer the question, just yaks about how the OP is wrong for asking it.

TheMusicGenome t1_iz8axmg wrote

Answer: I don’t know of any.

RI has traditionally not been a full service state. Most of New England isn’t.

Follow up question for further discussion: Why do you (they, we) need this service?

BitterStatus9 t1_iz8b6q6 wrote

It doesn’t matter why and it’s also none of your business. Why do you need to know? Hint: you don’t.

1

PurinaHall0fFame t1_izahdcq wrote

Exactly! OP could be handicapped or temporarily disabled or injured; that's not a hard conclusion to jump to.
