I think the good driving record is if you've had a clean record for 5 years.

Honestly it seems like if youre not going 70-80 (sometimes faster) on rt 4 youre not keeping up with traffic. I understand the speed limit, i get it. I moved to North Kingstown about 2 months ago and i constantly get honked at and hi beams flashed at me because I'm going about 60-65.

Good driving record is 3 years. And non moving violations don't affect it. However never having another moving violation, the judge may be kind and let you slide.

In my singular experience several years ago, the traffic court judge was very lenient.

I qualified for the good driving waiver, but he was waiving other people's tickets who didn't qualify either...including one woman who had gotten another ticket within the year and was clocked doing something like 95 in a 65.

So I think it's worth a shot for OP. Be repentant and ask for the waiver in traffic court despite the lack of full history. I bet they'll be fine.
