I teach in Woonsocket, and my first year at my current school, I only learned the way to and from the job. This year, I spent a little more time driving through and seeing more of it, and I have to say, Woonsocket is actually a very cute and charming area. It may not be the nicest area (although I’ve never personally had any issues), I feel pretty lucky to be working there.

I used to work there and would argue with my co-workers about it. "I don't get it, it doesn't seem that bad," I'd say. "There are murders here!" one of my co-workers shot back. I looked it up and it turned out there's usually either one or no murders in a typical year.

Downtown Woonsocket and river falls are both pretty cool

Woonsocket gets a bad rap when they truly do have a lot to offer!

Totally agree! The architecture in the North End is really cool, and the city has an interesting history.

This is insane to me. Have spent more time then I’d like there and it is an absolute dump. Drab and gross. Smells awful there for months at a time to top it off.
