Very true. Isn't that Curt Kirkwood and drummer Derrick Bostrom in the pic too? I saw them in the mid-1980s at a small bar in Denver. They played on a small 20'X20' riser in the corner. One of the best shows I've ever seen.

Yes, it's all three original Meat Puppets; I just felt like spreading Cris appreciation today.
That sounds like an amazing show; they must have been quite the force to be reckoned with in the 80s, especially in a small venue!
