My local indie station has been playing the latest from Soccer Mommy and Mamma, and I’m loving the neo-90s vibe of both albums. Any recommendations for similar bands?

Wet Leg
Snail Mail and Clairo
Ethel Cain's album Preacher's Daughter from last year takes a lot from the same 90s influences as Soccer Mommy
My favorite '90s sounding newer artists are Horsegirl and Wednesday
The Greeting Committee
Remember Sports
Maybe not the most similar but all the others I was gonna say have already been pointed out so here's some more options.
The Mamas and the Papas
Big theif
Illuminati Hotties, Charly Bliss
You might like Warpaint and Chastity Belt, too.
Men I Trust is a great one, too.
If you like Soccer Mommy, try Hockey Dad.
I see what you did there..
Beach Bunny, Best Coast, Wye Oak, Snail Mail, Bully, Slothrust, Kat and the Hurricane.
(Full disclosure: Kat is a friend of mine. Check them out anyway.)

NoSo their album is perfection and only came out last year
Camp Cope
Diet Cig
Sincere Engineer
Lucy Dacus hasn’t been called on this thread yet, also check out boygenius, it’s Lucy, Phoebe, and Julien Baker, who also belongs in this thread
The Beths
Speeding 72 is such a great song

BTW if you want additional answers, the sub /r/IfYouLikeBlank is for this exact type of post.
Lucy Dacus is some good shit.
People have already mentioned some great bands all I'll throw in is Skating Polly. Some of their songs are in a similar vibe while others will be a little harder but overall big 90s vibe

If you didn't come from wtmd out of Towson MD, check them out.
Hockey dad
Hockey Dad. Granddaddy. Mothers of invention.
beabadoobee (I always have to figure out how to spell her name).
Remember Sports
As someone who grew up in the '90's, which actual 90's bands do these remotely sound like?
The Cardigans, Marcy Playground, Garbage, Weezer, Jawbreaker
I mean, theyre not trying to make 1:1 reproductions of 90s music, but you can hear the influence of Mazzy Star, Liz Phair, Belly, Veruca Salt, Alanis, Catatonia, Elastica, That Dog, Saint Etienne, The Sundays, Velocity Girl, The Cardigans, The Breeders (more Drivin on 9 than Cannonball), Helium, etc.
Ratboys!
Maybe this doesn't fit but Soccer Mommy's "Unholy Affliction" has some Portishead vibes imo.
Beach Bunny, The Beths, Lunar Vacation, Wildermiss, Cafune…all I can think of off the top of my head.
I would like an entire thread on Mothers of Invention, thank you.
Sleater-Kinney
They’re not similar but to stick with the theme, Secret Mommy
That Momma album rules. I promise.
A lot of great female-driven favorites listed. I’ll add Vero. Check out their song Beluga. And Laura Lee & the Jettes. Check out their song Wasteland. And also I’d add (male) Car Seat Headrest. Check out their album Teens of Denial.
Idk if you'd consider this similar, but any indie discussion needs to include snail mail
True, but the lyric "filling up the ashtray" reminds me of long bygone times.
Strangely, Cannonball was Tonya Donelly era Breeders and Donelly formed Belly after leaving due to Kim and Kelly's (Deal sisters, Kim was former bassist for the Pixies) addiction issues. She was in step-sister Kristen Hirsh's band Throwing Muses before that. Always thought she had a lovely voice, but didn't really keep up when she dropped off the map to raise kids. I know there was a Belly reunion a few years back, but I missed it.
Dora Jar
Do they count since they’re actually a band from the 90s?
Wednesday!
Jay Som
Blushh, Pup, Launder, Black Country,New Road, Turnstile, Joyce Manor, Nothing, Crying, Basement
